ABOUT US
Located on the grounds of Camp Nageela Midwest, Inc., Camp Red Leaf has a focus to serve youth and adults with developmental disabilities, ranging in age from 9 to 99 years old. Various levels of care are available for specific ages and needs during the Camp's specialized sessions. The summer programs at Camp Red Leaf strive to increase self-esteem, improve social skills and encourage independence in a natural environment. The group living experience facilitates the development of friendships. Camp Red Leaf's summer programming offers many innovative ways for campers to realize their full potential. Campers take pride in discovering nature, meeting new people and learning new skills. All programs are structured to be adaptable and encourage participation. They are designed to be age appropriate and to meet the needs of all campers.
WHO WE ARE
Camp Red Leaf provides services of adult overnight and travel camp sessions in addition to youth day & overnight sessions from June to August. Youth and adult respites are available from November to April. Individualized 1:1 care accommodations can be arranged for ea. session upon registration and request. The last session of camp is a travel camp program for adult campers. This program serves campers who are ambulatory and have adequate social and self-care skills to succeed with a higher camper to staff ratio. Trips usually last five to eleven days, including one night at camp. Travel camp destinations change each session and each year.

Camp Red Leaf programs are structured to be adaptable with encouraged participation. Some featured activities include: swimming, arts and crafts, sports, games, nature programs, hiking, dances, talent shows, boating, fishing, and music activities.
